This feels incredibly relevant to me at the moment, as I’ve been having trouble with what seems to be looking like chronic fatigue for a couple of months now. And yesterday, after being wiped out for the evening after a busy day at work, I cried for the first time because of it, feeling frustrated, alone and a little scared by it… I’ve had plenty of time to think about it and what I feel I need to do to avoid this apparent burnout - so not considering myself lazy for not pushing is a huge part of what I need to embrace.
cry. Let yourself cry. Notice the emotions underneath that. Allow yourself to feel what you're feeling and find ways to express it. Be curious. be kind to yourself.
I KNOW you're not lazy.
What you're feeling is normal and natural and your body knows what it's doing. It's probably been screaming at you for some time. Now you're listening... Being kind and compassionate to ourselves is a huge step. It's too easy to berate ourselves for not being able to do what we think we ought and the body is always listening.
Notice how it feels to listen to yourself.
It may take time to recharge and as you pause find yourself again under all the shoulds, have tos and musts.
I hope you have support and are not alone.
You know where I am if you have any questions. I have oodles of advice, things I've tried, things that support me but I don't want to overwhelm you.
Thank you.
