Dear Lovely You,
whether you love it or loathe it, this time of year can be challenging.
It takes time and awareness to change the habits of over giving, so I invite you to be gentle with yourself.
Practice supreme self compassion as you navigate the next few days. Be kind and tender with yourself. Pause often and check in with how you’re feeling.
For the last nine months, we have been birthing this Community of deeply caring, over giving people, gathering together and being supportive as we make the shifts, that allow us to become Empowered Caretakers.
Still caring, still giving but doing it from a place of abundance and love rather than out of a sense of habit, lack and duty, which is exhausting and unsustainable.
And if you know this is not really you (if it is not really in your nature or your heart to be the Caretaker and you’re not responsible for children), give yourself permission to not be the caring one and go and do something completely different, that lights you up and feeds your soul.
Remember, your loved ones (if they truly are loving), want you to be healthy, happy and fulfilled.
It takes nine months to grow and birth a baby. It takes about seven years to mold a child and a lifetime of unravelling the unhelpful conditioning that keeps us stuck in unhealthy patterns that make us irritible, resentful and tired. But as you get the learnings, apply and embody them bit by bit they all add up.
My intention is that there is something to inspire you and help you every week. That’s 52 times a year! Which all adds up to some pretty consistent foundations.
What I really want for you more in the coming year is…
to honour your energy levels
to listen to your body
to listen to your yearnings
to do activities that nourish and nurture your nature
to spend time with people that warm your heart
to have firm boundaries
to be a role model for your children that helps them honour themselves too
to allow time and space to rest and recharge
and ultimately to find a sense of Inner Peace that fills you with the Confidence and Self Respect to be your True Self
Thank you for your suppport through comments, likes, emails and sharing Honouring Your True Self. I really apprciate it. There is no Community without you.
If you know someone else who is an over giver and want to inspire them to take better care of themselves, please share.
I am looking forward to the next year being filled with more Love, Respect and Community for the Caretakers in this world and we can make so much more progress together.
With Love
from my True Self to Yours
Karen xx
Thank you 💜
